Shema

DEUTERONOMY 6:4-9 (NIV)

4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. 5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

SHEMA PATH

Mosaic Bible Fellowship believes that God designed the family as the primary place for discipleship and that parents have the privilege of nurturing faith and character in the next generation.

To partner with you in building a Christ-centered home, we are introducing Shema Path, a step-by-step plan to help you intentionally guide your child’s spiritual journey.

Each phase of the Shema Path is aligned with your child’s age and prepares you for a corresponding milestone in your child’s faith formation. Our desire is to help you leverage the best strategy for their stage of development, focusing on specific practices at particular ages. Each step along the path includes strategies, ideas, and tools to help you take simple strides toward creating a God-honoring family.

You can begin today regardless of your child’s age or stage. Did you miss a step or want to start the process with an older child? Don’t worry! You can always go back and cover earlier steps. Rather than a one-time emphasis, think of these as ongoing conversations as they grow.
